The Power of Opposition is Key to Understanding Potential

Dozens, perhaps hundreds of times a day we encounter issues of opposition. The kids fight with us, your secretary mis-schedules an appointment, the golf shot hits a rock and goes out of bounds, your mate disagrees with your plan, the city raises your peoperty taxes and much more.

We take yoga, anger management, study Zen, etc. to learn to deal with these typical, and sometimes atypical occurrences. Now there is another way of dealing and resolving -- using your Natural Intelligence. One of the key aspects of the program is the recogniztion of what is actually going on behind the scenes with opposition.

Briefly, what is going on is development!

The mission of every one of us is to achieve the greatest levels of development possible. Opposition is an innate factor of each of us, a reflection of our inner selves and must be dealt with accordingly. Opposition becames a fallacy -- a means for us to shift blame and deny responsibility.

Why We Self-Destruct

The most significant component of the human psyche is the drive for personal survival. Paradoxically, humans have another component: self-destruction.

This is most evident in our perfect model of nature. Not only does nature create beautiful seaside sunsets, it also creates those killer hurricanes. In science, this is known as Polarity: the notion of opposites.   Polarity of life is a fact and truth most don’t accept. “The devil made me do it” is a popular antithesis to polarity. But science and even ancient philosophy have proven polarity as a fact of life.

What we are saying here is that we self-destruct because it is within our nature. But don’t despair; Natural Thinking and Intelligence offers us the tools to integrate our polarity and move to a higher level of understanding.

The NaTI program shows us how to recognize our self-destructive tendencies and then overcome them by melding together of the weak and the strong, the good and bad – in order to formulate a higher, integrated path.

This concept is realized naturally from the pursuit of virtues!

The Pursuit of The Development of Our Potential Opens Our Natural Inner Self

NaTI is a scientific method that utilizes specific principles to define our soul and spirit, our inner selves and our nature, which emanate from the processes of wholeness, integration and development.

The pursuit of a life purpose and potential development naturally generates the following qualities of nature:

  • Instinctive: Inherent process, innate order
  • Economical: No wasted time, energy or resources
  • All Embracing: Encompasss all possibilities, applicable to anything
  • Adaptive: Flexible
  • Expansive: Able to grow free, develop
  • Balanced: Possesses equal amounts of positive and negative
  • Engaging: Interaction breeds results
  • Harmonious: Blends and interacts well, effortless
  • Excellent: highest quality
  • Effective: productive, works well
  • Efficient: perfect order, non-resistive
  • Disciplined: resists over-expansion, structured
  • Complementary: integrates competing parts, which further develops Potential
  • Communicative: relates smoothly, connects

When we are highly integrated, these qualities become our essence. They are the result of our focus and interests.

Kids' Culture

We need a transitional structure between the world of children and the world of adults.

Kids and parents need to prepare themselves for this change in cultures. What both parties must understand is that if adolescence goes "okay", it will eventually end. At that point the kids will come back to the roost. How they come back and how the parents receive them is another story. What generally occurs here is that this new kids' culture is an open system for them and a separation from the closed system of the family. What parents need to measure is the amount of organization that exists in the family unit prior to this change. This does not mean just discipline. It also entails order, virtue and open-mindedness. The greater the structure of pre-adolescence, the greater the chance they will return to the roost "okay". This is experiential knowledge!
